AMR fleet control system

One warehouse control system for autonomous mobile robots from any manufacturer, from the receiving dock to the line.

AMR fleet control system

We design and write the software that runs your whole robot fleet, whatever brands you buy. It sits between your business systems and the robots, so pallets come off the truck, go into storage and reach the line on demand without forklift runs or paper pick lists.

From the truck to the line

  1. Receive: a pallet comes off the semi truck and is scanned into the WMS.
  2. Put away: the system picks a storage location and sends the nearest free robot.
  3. Store: inventory is tracked by location in real time.
  4. Retrieve on demand: a line call or MES order pulls the right parts from storage.
  5. Deliver: a robot drops the parts at the point of use and takes the empty back.

How it fits together

  • WMS: order manager, material flow computer and analytics, connected through an API
  • Warehouse control system: fleet manager, auto replenishment, BLE localization, geofencing, conveyors, cranes, presence detection and preventive maintenance
  • Business and facility systems: SAP, MES, fire alarms, gates and elevators over industrial Ethernet
  • One REST interface per robot vendor, talking to that vendor's traffic manager over wireless TCP/IP
  • Real-time streaming with SignalR, and cloud storage and analytics on AWS

Proven in production at a Tier 1 automotive parts manufacturer. Read the case study.
